    When I was a teen we had both grandmothers living with us. I had to share my room with one of them. They hated each other. Since my parents worked, my older siblings were all out of the house, and my younger brother was too little to entertain them, it was MY attention they fought over…but only if one of them noticed me first.

    Years ago I watched my grandmother and one of her great-great- grandchildren carry on a conversation. Granny was 90 and almost completely deaf. Kendra was around a year old and couldn’t do anything but babble. Still, they had a great conversation and you could tell both were enjoying it.
