I remember that song – from about when I was Holly’s age. How is it they’ve ever heard it and know the words? It would be too old for even Val to know. Just wondering.

They must listen to the oldies radio station, that song goes back to the summer of ’64 LOL! Good choice

I love this story line.

Darn it! That song is one of the worst earworms ever written! Now I’m infected for the rest of the day! Quick, somebody put on a Beethoven symphony or something!

Oh no. Don’t say this means they’re gonna have one of those multi-year engagements. I’ve actually known couples who had been engaged for over 5 years and counting. So strange!

You old timers need to listen to some new radio stations :) The Dixie Cups re-did the Crystals Going to the Chapel. It is still a pretty good song from my childhood.

Ok then.

For me I have never seen two girls push their mom into an engagement and marriage as they have. I know a comic strip.Husband and I dated for over a year he was not in a hurry and when engaged the photographer chose our date. Now 33 years later.My parents dated only 4 months and a salesman assumed they were married they just decided to only my mom’s birthday. My sister/husband dated also 4 months just decided to get married no children 30years, aunt and uncle 24 hours would have been sooner had to go out of state married 60 years +

Do kids nowadays even KNOW that song?

I always associated Bette Midler with this song.
