Not trying to sound like John Baranick, my thought’s headed to same thought, Phil’s hand is not on Holly’s shoulder and not visible on the waste, I wonder where Jan did place his hand on a 13-year-old Holly.Phil is very fortunate to be accepted by the girls since the girls pushed Phil into proposing.Not all children want a step coming into the family. That I see a lot. The children resent a step coming in and start bossing them.

Aww. They need a father figure. I’m sure that both she and Alix will really come to rely and love him like a father some day. My friend loves her stepfather. He took her in(her father is still around but a huge jerk) and treated her as if she was his own daughter, and I’m sure Phil will too. :)

That was the LAST thing I was looking at…where Phil’s hand is! It’s obvious what some see and what others think they see!

He still has the plate he was washing in his hand as far as I can tell from the timing

My first thought was “Good for Holly!” I think she’ll be a great step-daughter (while still being a teenager).

I didn’t even notice Phil’s arm/hand until I read the comments and cannot believe there’s any significance — Stone Soup isn’t that dark.

@In answer to the last commentsPlease lighten up, it is a cartoon and it was written in jest and good fun. If you want to cry blue murder… Go see the news. There’s enough tears in the world today.
