Quin: They called it that so their life insurance paid out. Many life insurance policies do not cover terrorist attacks. Gonna have to disagree with you there.Trout: How does Cheney have anything to do with this comic of the media not connecting the dots? They need to realize these terrorist attacks are all related, and they are either willfully or naively not connecting them together. After all, a bunch of individual wolves form a pack.
What just happened in Australia was NOT a terrorist attack. It actually was a lone wolf, already out on bail for a double murder. It was the media that immediately tried to tie it to terrorism. So Mr. Lester has it backwards again.
Exactly Balto Bill… Anyone with a mental illness can board the ‘Islamic Terrorist’ train and get the usual hysterical fear based reaction from all and sundry. It was a sad story of one man with a gun in a coffee shop. We in Australia see it this way. We resist the terror narrative. We resist the gun culture. We seek to understand.
Is a guy who wants to impress Jody Foster by shooting a President a lone wolf, or a nut? What about a guy going into a elementary school with an assault rifle? What about a small group who take a nation to war to settle a personal grudge on one man, killing hundreds of thousands who did absolultely nothing to us in the process? Wolf pack, or weasels?

Don’t say “lone wolf”, Mike. It’s “lone workplace incident person of interest”.
