Sure there is. You may not appreciate it, but it’s there.

    I thought it was hysterical.

They say (whoever they are) that explaining humor is like dissecting a frog: No one cares and the frog dies in the attempt. But I certainly do not understand the joke here.

Wonderful. I laughed till i coughed!Look, we all know that most cops are good, but as long as the bad ones get a pass everyone suffers, including good cops since bad cops place good ones in danger, undermine respect, etc.We also all know that bigotry has been ignored and even increased in recent years for multiple groups. In this cartoon several things are shown including solidarity, and the cop is a stand-in for bigots in general as well as for bad cops. Then again, i would love females to finally be protected by the Constitution as well as men are before i age out, especially for the sake of the younger members of our family, but we will not get there till the ERA is ratified by enough states and that probably will not happen till enough people stand up for women’s rights.Progress has happened for many people in my lifetime, but there is so much more needed including basic safety and respect for blacks (usually young black males but a friend who is our age was slammed to the floor and held at gun point when his own home alarm malfunctioned, and a young female friend got pulled over multiple times when she would travel to be our house guest) and that pattern in some locations happens with native americans or hispanics, full legal rights for females, native hispanics who have been in parts of the US for longer than Anglos not having to carry documentation, and way more. Just because there has been progress within the last 50 years does not mean that progress should stop. Most of it happened close to a half century ago.In anthropology studies areas make progress, then fearful people halt it and wind it back some till enough other people get fed up or even horrified and begin again working for progress. Except for gay people, many of the movements that got so much done in the 1960s and1970s did not for decades get enough of the new young participants who tend to be the life’s blood of any social movement. Now i think we finally are beginning to again have younger generations which want to make the nation better, and i hope that continues.

Well if you repeatedly massage the truth, what else should you expect?

Again I say, after the assassinations of two officers in NYC and the killing of an officer in Tarpon Springs, FL, can we have a strip addressing the killing of police by armed thugs? Or is that too controversial for the strip.

For everyone who thinks the police are out there to just kill you, maybe they should be pulled off the streets and let God sort it out. I think a month of that would change a lot of minds, human beings are NOT nice creatures when there are no laws.
