I like most of the characters in this strip, but these two really get on my nerves. I hope this is a short arc, and they are gone, sooner, rather than later.

Clovia and Slim will not go anywhere on if they ever get a vacation time, not with mom/cousin lurking around.
Or find out they weren’t really going to Vegas. It was just ruse to get them to leave.
I would straighten this out in two minutes with my unwelcome friends..But I’m not Jim ,and, I don’t do comic strips..
