So here’s my question — let’s say you’re the CIA person responsible for outsourcing torture — who do you call? What kind of person is in the business of waterboarding people or shoving stuff up their rectums? Is there a yellow-pages listing? Or do you call up one of your friends in the Mafia? What kind of person wants a job torturing people? And do we want to have people like that being paid by the government to do it? Yuck.
