    That should be the public,, not Sam on the bench. But the right wing especially doesn’t WANT to see what they’ve done, and I’m talking “shock and awe”, which was far more brutal, and indiscriminant, than any torture program the same folks gave ’em.

    Part of the issue isn’t considered, torture, like foricible rape, is the action of a coward who holds the upper hand. It ain’t about sex, and it ain’t about gahtering intelligence.

    That’s the best you can do? We KNOW torture DOES NOT WORK.So the proper contrast is this: would you like to make our nation party to horrible and pointless torture JUST LIKE the enemies, or would you prefer to uphold standards of justice and be a model instead?

    Well, thankfully, we punished those awful bad apples, the prison guards at Abu Ghraib.-In an interview in September 2006 with then-CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric, President George W. Bush said, “I’ve said to the people that we don’t torture, and we don’t.”
