Britain, China, or Japan? I can assure you, a few feral generations and domestic hogs look quite similar to the wild European variety – not separate sub-species, but reversion to type.
Tigerchik32: And start destroying crops on a massive scale – a major problem in my county. Personally, I have only a scale model of the problem – armadillos. They aren’t called “Hoover hogs” just for the taste of their meat in a depression, the habits are similar too.

and if domesticated types interbreed with the feral ones, they will, in time, start looking lean, mean and fierce.
