Rudolf is actually a female reindeer. Male rein deer lse their antlers in the winter. Only females have antlers in winter

The original eight reindeer are Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, and Blitzen. Rudolph was a 20 Century add on due to Inclement Weather or Global Warming!.
