Well, the conspiracy is not secret anyhow. They love you, Val!

NO, she will NOT ! ! ! Val is scared about getting ‘tied up again’ and fear of what could happen especially with Phil’s employment. But she needs to get past that and she how much good it will do here in the long run ! ! ! !

This is so wrong. Leave Phil and Val alone, they were doing just fine, a comfy relationship.

Notice that Val says she’s still there, but what she doesn’t say is “stop it”

“She needs not to chicken out and say yes”? Or should it be, “She needs not to chicken out, say yes”.

In spite of having all Phil’s cooking and cleaning skills pointed out yesterday, he would probably welcome being looked after for a change… I asked, “Why is everyone so keen for her to commit to cooking, cleaning and taking care of his every need for the rest of her days??”

i know, let Phil get shot. then Val and Phil will realize how much they mean to each other and tie the knot.

or at least shack up for a bit first.

I, for one, am happy with this course of action. Stir up a big pot of trouble and watch the fun. That’s what the comics pages are for, right?

It’s the “try before you buy” method which actually works in some cases.

Great how other people always have the answer to your life’s problems but never to their own.

I like a happy ending just as much as the next person, but it is a comic strip, and the only thing that matters is if it would still be entertaining if Val and Phil did marry. I find it a bit disconcerting that so many people are projecting, and taking it so seriously.

If they have to be pushed, then they’re not ready. Sheesh! And shacking up before marrying guarantees nothing.
