    Alex Rorke: Quite a few flowers are spirals – look at roses just opening from the bud stage.

    English is a “living” language which is constantly adding and changing. Remember reading “The Canterbury Tales” in olde English?

    hillsmom: Canterbury Tales are in Middle English. For Old English, try Beowulf.
