Fair question.

Yeah! And why is it that Janis never makes up some excuse to enter the bathroom when Arlo is bathing?

I think it has to do more with guys tending to visual arousal more. Now Janis, don’t you ever sniff his shirts ;)

Because she does it discreetly.

I had to go to Yahoo to read today’s strip…..and I can’t even get to the other side…aaarrghhhh

i believe the smirk on her face in panel 3, shows she’s amused…not offended.

this is twice in the last week you’ve attacked Janis. I simply don’t understand. Granted, they’re comic characters, but part of their appeal is the reality of the relationship. Possibly because Arlo and Janis remind me so much of me and my wife, I find myself taking offense. I love my wife more than life itself. She’s not perfect, although she’s damned close, but lord knows neither am I. Arlo loves her. That is all that matters.

I sometimes catch my husband just looking at me and I ask him why also. He gives me the same answer as Arlo, which I consider a compliment sometimes. As far as me looking at him, I do look at him but I don’t stare at him, the stare is what is so annoying. Janice does secretly enjoys it, (see panel 3).

Give it up, Arlo. You ought to know by now that, no matter how hard you look, you can’t see through flannel. .(But if you close your eyes and concentrate, you can see paradise by the dashboard light.)

Panel 3 she doesn’t look annoyed…

I will sometimes wake up and find my husband propped up on one elbow, looking at me. “What are you doing?” “Watching you breathe. Do you know you’re beautiful?”

After all these years…

Janis doesn’t stare at Arlo because she is always thinking of her “old friend from high school” on Facebook she meets up with.

I wish I had a man who liked to look at me. Mine just stares at his computer screens.

They’ve been married long enough to know each other’s quirks. Janice is a little too defensive when it comes to ‘sexuality’.

Because one freak in the family is enough!
