Given the constraints of budget money that actually makes it to the field, the VA does a good job overall. The toon is another shot at the VA that I find isn’t deserved.
Which, if Congress and previous administrations had made support for VA match increased needs and costs, the fudging on appointments wouldn’t have occurred as they tried to meet demands on less than the crumbs off oil company subisidies granted by that same Congress.

Veterans day was formerly Armistis Day, commemorating the end of WWI. The Marines raised that flag on Iwo Jima in WWII.
