The “mews media” had images similar to that comic book cover during WWI and WWII, but not Korean “conflict” or Viet Nam “era”. I wonder why? Were the vets any less superheros in Korea or Nam?
Just a point?: Doing the job you signed up for isn’t “heroic”, and is over-used. That the job, whether in military combat, combating fires that threaten life, or combating crime on the street, can in the worst circumstances, require some heroics, but it’s just a personality trait, and dedication to others, as well as ourselves.
Chickenhaws to the reverse btw oppose fairly treating those same cops, firefighters, and military, at the same time they demand their service.
Tom needs an anatomy lesson. The cover of the so called comic book shows two poster children for obesity. Maybe ol’ Henry is alluding to the Pentagon budget which is the very definition of bloated.
