Not much we can do about voters. They go by “gut feel”, flipped coins". and what their relatives tell them. Researching things on the Internet is such a drag.

The Republicans are only seen as anti-citizen by those that would be kicked off the government tit and had to start working to earn the things they have like that that remains of Middle class.

The Dictatorial Democrats are far worse, they want to enslave everyone to the government. Democrats have always voted to increase the number of people on food stamps, welfare, medical programs and any of the other of the hundreds of government ‘assistance’ programs. The only thing that the Democrats have forgotten who will pay for the party when everyone is on handouts.

“But you’re right about Clinton and Welfare Reform. When Republicans won Congress during Clinton’s second term, Clinton was forced to work with them. That’s also why Clinton gets credit for balancing the Budget.

“Obama will have two choices after Republicans take over the Senate: He can work with them and have something to show for his Presidency,, or he can remain recalcitrant and have nothing to show for his Presidency.”-I agree. President Obama’s intransigence is probably the greatest reason for his unpopularity, even beyond the failures of his domestic policies, the unlawful actions of his executive branch, and the incompetent foreign policy of his Administration.

Jefferson was refering to the white, male, educated, and wealthy class of landowners who were allowed to vote back then. Today, that same class just buys all the media and “information stream” to influence the basically ignorant to vote against their own best interests, and support idiocy from the 1%.

Its hard to be well informed when the loudest are only interested in you conforming to their point of view.

^I just find it interesting that the same folks blaming Obama for personally bringing a guy with Ebola to the U.S., can’t “blame” Bush for a campaign of lies that got over 4,000 of our troops, and hundreds of thousands of civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq, killed.

Which, on the ’toon era, Ben Franklin saw the intelligent and elusive, and flying, WILD turkey as the national bird, instead of the mostly carrion feeding bald eagle. While eagles have been saved by the ESA, among other factors, like the EPA, the modern DOMESTIC turkey is an obese, flightless, barely able to walk, white bird, that will drop dead in its tracks at the slightest fright. Current Republicans, at least far too many of them, do seem overly domesticated.

One example of the ‘intransigence of Obama’ was when he expressed support for a Republican proposal. Republicans immediately announced they would filibuster the proposal.-But, of course, It’s OKAY If A Republican Does It.

So we get to spend the next two years watching the Tea Party and the Republican Party fight it out. When they occasionally agree on something, and manage to get enough Democratic votes to pass it, they still have Obama— who just ordered a new ink pad for his Veto stamp. But, things have steadily improved under Obama with no input from congress. I just don’t feel comfortable with nothing getting done unless the president does it himself, since he has no other choice because congress is useless.

Noticed that SOCIALIST nations like Finland, Norway, and Sweden are far outperforming ours?

…for the record I REALLY dislike Clinton as I frequently refer to him as “The Benevolent Rapist”, but credit where credit is due…
