We actually did this when we were kids. This was back before all those lawn care companies that would come and charge you to fertilize, etc. The leaf pile was huge! We jumped in them until they were broken down to scraps. Then we spread them over the lawn. The next spring we had the most green and most beautiful lawn of the entire neighborhood! FACT!

Just remember to return all the leaves, with interest, when the kids are finished playing in them.
