When the EMTs were working on me in the living room our cat (who usually made herself invisible when there was company) sat in the middle of the room and inspected every piece of equipment and supervised every procedure. I remember floating to the surface long enough the hear a tech tell Hubby he had couldn’t work with the cat – I think he was trying to put in an IV. Said cat was locked in the kitchen and apparently spent the rest of the time yanking the door back and forth. She also gave Hubby an earful when he came home without me.

Now that’s one lazy cat, mine would be ripping a hole in the door and screaming his head off.
