Alexi…sorry, but it’s not about marinAra…Mrs. Swift is making MarinERa…

Bruno… I’m guessing you mean you didn’t “know” batters got dipped in Marinera…and neither did I….

And the only Swift I can find on the innerwebs came in a pitcher…. and got out quite a few years ago.

Can any of you sports fans cook something up?

The homunculus being dipped is obviously a baseball player; and the baseball image on the apron reinforces the reference. The surname “Swift” calls to mind Bill Swift. I believe that he retired about 2 years ago. For more, type his name into your search engine. Cheers.

    Kent… yeah… got that….

I was trying to say, I think rather too obliquely, that the only Swift on the Mariners that I could Google up was a pitcher… not a batter…the long retired Bill Swift.

Mrs Swift is either dipping or adding Mariners batters.

So…. either I’m missing something, which I usually am, when it comes to sports info…or her name is immaterial…or…. this is a looooong stretch….Take yer pick.

Actually, Jr, I think you’ve got it. That kind of joke is called a Tom Swiftie.

The Mariners have to do something to add “sauce” to their lineup, this couldn’t hurt.

Living in the PNW, I got the Mariners part but not the Swift part. People who write comics should lay off the egg nog, Just sayin’. LOL
