The hatchet man’s campaign team worked ’round the clock to do a hatchet job on his opponent.

I agree, throw the do nothing congress people out on their ear. We can vote them term limits. I would like a congress that can actually do their job.

Democracy is a lot like communism; A great idea — except that it just doesn’t work.Trouble is, the blood-sucking parasites get control, so every so often we have to vote them out, and then vote new parasites in.It’s kind of a lose-lose situation.

masterskrain: In that case, vote Green. 1. They won’t get elected (except in isolated areas like Richmond, CA, or the Edwards Aquifer Board in Texas). 2. It is a good protest. 3. In many places, it will help meet the minimum votes needed to stay on the ballot. 4. It promotes the Green’s Four Pillars of grassroots democracy, economic justice, environmental responsibility, and nonviolent change – requirements for a Green Party anywhere in the world.

Unfortunately, turkeys, wild ones at least, do seem smarter than what I see among the flock of pachyderm supporters.

You are right. You might try contacting Green Party of the United States about remedying that. There is also a long list of candidates for Tuesday, as well as 19 who are already elected this year to local offices.

It is very difficult to even be permitted on the ballot in many states. For instance, in Texas, it requires a petition from 5% the total most recent vote for governor signed by registered voters who did not vote in any primary, all to be done six weeks following the last primary.

Texas Greens did it in 2010 and were promptly sued by the Democrats to use up time and money from campaigning – they withdrew the suit just before trial and a risk of being fined for a frivolous suit. A party must get 5% of the vote in some state-wide race to stay on the ballot.

This the the first year the Dallas News has even mentioned Greens, not covered them, just admitted they have candidates. In 20l0, they twice denied I was running for State Board of Education – the Democrats didn’t even care to have a candidate in my district. I filed against the leader of the flat earth faction who writes your kid’s textbooks.

Low information voters. “Government dependency is swell. I can get all kinds of stuff from Big Brother and still retain complete freedom…sorta.”
