I don’t know why most old white guys should vote for the Republicans that want to eliminate Social Security and Medicare. The Republican idea of tax reform is to eliminate mortgage and medical deductions. They want to create jobs by reducing business taxes and letting the middle class come up with more to fund schools, infrastructure and medical expenses.Only the rich old white guys will benefit from that plan.
They’re the only ones that have time to vote! In Michigan, you can get an absentee ballot mailed to your house if you are over 60. No wonder the GOP gets so many votes. Unlike the Dems, who rely on guys and gals working two jobs and students , who are in the middle of midterms and have to find a ride to the polling place because it’s too far from campus to walk.
Good for you, fella. I am an old white woman ( 84½ ) and I’m a leftist liberalSocialist, also. And last week I voted only for Democrats. so, between the two of us, we’ve cancelled out two Republican’s votes.I am FOR everything the Republicans are against, and I am AGAINST everything they are for. So why on earth would I want them in power?
I’m a 61 year old white male. I can proudly say that I have never voted for a Republican in my life. Needless to say, I won’t be starting this Tuesday.
Yep. This election is shaping up to be “The Last Hurrah” for angry old white men. BTW, I’m old (67) and white but not angry so I’ll be voting for the Dems.
Obama speaking on the Ebola situation just noted that Americans don’t run away and hide in fear, they step up to the challenge and use logic to overcome fear, and help make the world a better, safer place, and that is “American exceptionalism”.
A clear statement he doesn’t understand the right-wingers in the RNC, TEA party, or “conservative” circles.
