These folks on the ground are so conditioned to obey authority figures within thinking that they naturally resent anyone who tries to change that with knowledge, education or reality. Sadly they also confuse politicians with authority figures rather than, say scientists.
The flaky, indecisive leadership of our government feed the fear. The head of the CDC actually objected to restricting travel from infected African nations because it might damage their economies. The CDC has no right to risk our health based on theoretical economic issues in a foreign country. Charter & military flights can send help to those countries. Unrestricted commercial flight s are a hazard.

The first infections here were because Mr. Duncan, the Liar from Liberia snuck through the useless screening. His case gave us two infected nurses. Now there’s the Doc, returned from West Africa, infected in NYC. You’re obviously wrong no matter how many times you post your BS.
I support quarantine of all travelers from infected areas in West Africa. A non-medical traveler, Mr. Duncan, was the source of the two infected nurses in Texas. The NYC Doc returned and brought the infection with him. 21 days of watching TV doesn’t seem excessive to prevent infecting others with a usually deadly disease.
