Michael Zehaf-Bibeau and Martin Couture Rouleau were raised Christian, where presumably their values were formed, and then converted to Islam. So do you blame Christianity or Islam for the direction they took? Or were they just a couple of misfits and their killings had nothing to do with religion?.The murder of two innocent soldiers cannot be condoned. But then neither can the killing of thousands of Muslims and terrorism of a population by F16’s, laser controlled bombs, and drone delivered Hellfire missiles. The difference being the U.S. led killings and terrorism are conducted on foreign soil where one suspects motivation has much to do with the control of oil resources and commerce. .We are being brain-washed that we are the innocent good guys and they are the bad guy terrorists for resisting our will on their resources in their country.
How many school shootings in Canada? We’ve had 88 in 22 months, and btw: any discharge of a firearm in a school IS a “school shooting”, just ‘cause it isn’t a mass slaughter doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.
Sorry, but as a gun owner, hunter, former law enforcement and miiltary, we ARE a gun culture, and a shoot first ask questions later society. Kids get their ideas from “adults”- like Grenada, Iran/Contra, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Iraq, Afghanistan, and all those place “conservatives” lead with peace efforts, rather than invasions or supporting terrorist abroad and kilings, like well Pinochet et all in that group of “nice folks” we’ve long supported. Hmm, that would include giving weapons to Saddam, that was brilliant!
