Do you really think a travel ban will keep people from trying to do it anyway? Especially those that are trying to get out of an infected country? Think of how well that works at our southern border.
compare the death numbers in West Africa to the USA,4,600 to 1 and that 1 was sick and flew from Africa to USA.-CDC’s “no travel ban” is puppet response to Obama and the Opportunity Czar who is a politico brought in to distribute the funding money to favorite cronies, not to solve the problem of no vaccine or cure. Congrats to the White House for politicizing a fatal disease.
You do realize, don’t you, that once we screen them and they come up positive that we don’t let them on the plane. So go get in line and get screened, smart guy.
Stupid is so much more contagious than Ebola, and Repubtards (an exclusive term, not a generalization, but close) are really infected!! Just remember the warning folks, and turn to your neighbor and say “WE made it!”, ‘cause you’re the only two people in the U.S. NOT killed by HIV/AIDS!!
But, Ebola has created a lot more panic than even AIDS, even though contracting it requires the same types of contact, well that must be ‘cause even though it too came from Africa, “only” gays get it, so don’t worry.
It’s simple: for the “ban all travel” crowd- there are only 3 cases of Ebola documented in the U.S. ALL those are in Texas, so it’s clear by YOUR standards: DON’T LET ANYONE OUT OF TEXAS! Not for any reason can we let these folks leave the state, even if they just crossed into the state as part of transcontinental travel.
I hold 2 passports; my daughter has 4. My sister is applying for British citizenship and will acquire her 3rd. My cousins in Canada sometimes travel on 3 (Canada & South Africa insist on their citizens travelling in and out of their countries with their passports; they often transit thru’ Europe so use their Portuguese passports.
My passport has dozens of stamps (it expires in 7 months); might be difficult to spot when & where I have been in the last 4 weeks.Granted the overwhelming majority of travellers don’t possess more than 1 passport and don’t have dozens of stamps in their passport, but I have disocovered that dual nationals often DO travel with both passports (I only acquired my SA one 3 years ago; SA began insisting on their nationals using one when entering & leaving it).
Therefore, there might not be a stamp.
Also, consider that many travellers returning from Western Africa are returning…home, to the USA. Many are likely to be naturalised Americans. You’d refuse entry for your own compatriots?
I guessed you missed the news, Thomas Duncan, Dallas TX. Others contracted the virus as a result. And after taking care of him (I know, I live in the Dallas area), his family complained of racism. He lied, & infected others, and then his family complained.

No, but both will kill you. Perfect ridicule of this administration’s logic, or lack thereof

Well, there was the guy who lied to get in for treatment – and whom we all accepted and provided treatment for it.

@old1953: Why does the CDC spend it’s (increasing in actual terms) budget on regulating helmets? The CDC hasn’t been cut. It does misspend its budget.
