That’s what you get for American-style fork-play. I’m British, so when I eat formally, the fork never leaves my left hand. (When I eat informally, anything goes, down to and including not bothering with cutlery at all. Fingers, as my father always used to say, came first – and as plenty of cultures know, everything is finger-food, if you do it right.)

I’ve always felt sorry for right handed people; I was born reaching for my fork and my glass. You guys have to cross your arms to get anything to eat.
