I have panned for gold in Colorado. It does not seem reasonable that it came from space and got underneath the mountain.

We might also mention that Chuck was a tank instructor during WWII I thought the Rifleman was just too silly and unreal. A remote farmer as he was portrayed would have been world news having all that trouble owning a trigger rigged rifle and shooting someone every week or so. Farmers back then did not visit town that much either ,they did so only for marketing or supplies.
