Despite what others may think, I take from this that Slim is bothered more the fact his truck can’t make the trip to help the orphans than he is by the fact that he won’t be sharing in the mac ‘n’ cheese.
@firebrand1: I had some Kraft boxed stuff that was two years old and the cheese powder was very dark in colour (not even the strange colour it usually is). I cooked the pasta, but then put “normal” cheese in it instead of the powder.
“Gasoline Alley” always ignores Veterans Day. I don’t know why. Given the service that Walt, Skeezix, and Chipper gave within the strip, it seems mean-spirited or, at best, very odd.
There are some married couples refer to the inlaw’s by first name not mom and dad. I think much better as mom and dad. Though for my husband’s mom I could not call her mom we were not that close at all. We could never agree on much.

Thought there’d be a strip devoted to veterans today.

Married to his daughter over 35 years and he still calls him Mr. Wallet? Why not Pop or Dad?

Oldmanmountain check out the strip for Nov.11, 2004. Vet’s Day got a full tribute then.
