The only time Obama has had the slightest interest in bipartisanship is when he’s lost so many Dem votes in Congress that he’s been compelled to try conning mushy Republicans. When he can bribe enough Dems, O’s interest in Republican votes disappears. So much for bipartisan gov’t.

The Rebubblecans were not at all interested in letting Obama win this one. It doesn’t matter what was in the bill. When any Republicans showed any inclination to support the bill, they were publicly vilified by their party. (i.e. Olympia Snowe)

One of the main features of the bill, health insurance exchanges is a GOP idea.

Oh, well isnt that swell. The officials should move to pass a bill that requires Democrats to vote for what they want and Republicans to vote for what they want and each side decide for themselves what they are getting. That should rip the country in 2 swiftly. Instead of these little tears that drive them slowly apart.
