That would be the Iraq war Obama started back in ’91 when he told Saddam to go ahead and invade Kuwait on an “Arab to Arab matter”, right?

As I recall Bush didn’t throw his administration under the bus every time something went wrong which was plenty.

Ummm….Hey Nicky, the intelligence was CORRECT!There were no secret reactors or hidden chemical weapon stockpiles. These were terrorists in PLAIN SIGHT!Our satellites, our allies and even YouTube Posts showed the ISIS terrorists spreading and killing thousands yet Barry did nothing.Nice try backing up your failing boy!

A report on MSNBC today says Mr. Obama physically missed 60% of his daily briefings. While many conservative reports back this up, another moderate source states that while Mr. Obama did not attend the meetings, he received daily reports. I still find this unsatisfying as it seems that with all that is going on, the CnC should be asking questions and getting answers in real time. The Republicans have no real right to complain since they refuse to participate in these debates as they are required to do, but it is still disheartening to see Mr. Obama not more actively participating. It is though he feels that since the Republicans aren’t going to support anything he does, he doesn’t have to do very much. Both the legislative and executive branches are failing to act as they are expected to under the rules of their positions.Because the media and pundits have divided us to a point of extremes, there will be many who will want to place the majority of the blame, or all of it, on one side or the other… but the point is, both parties have ground our nation to a halt in order to keep themselves and their parties in positions of power while jockeying for the lobbyist or consultant job they will ‘retire to’ when they leave office, taking generous pensions and benefits with them. And we let them because we want “our side” to win. Respectfully,C.

“The difference being, Obama has his own “intelligence” it is called being a burnt out slacker who can not be bothered to interact with anyone about the threats that face this Nation. Could not be bothered to make sure he and the people who wrote the report were on the same page.GW Bush was a lot of things but never, not once did he pass the buck and blame the other guy.. He also had the same intelligence as every one else in Congress and the rest of the world. Obama?? The Community Organizer has no clue.”-It has become increasingly apparent that to our President and his most ardent defenders, nothing is ever his fault. I’ve met people like that in my life and am a little surprised that someone with that personality was elected president:-http://www.nationaljournal.com/against-the-grain/obama-s-pass-the-buck-presidency-20140929-As for the President’s intelligence briefings:-http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2774122/Obama-accurate-intelligence-ISIS-BEFORE-2012-election-says-administration-insider.html

“…Bush got to do what he did because he lied to us.”.Soooo… your saying that a regime that actively sponsored terrorism had ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST in WMDs? Is that was you are told to believe?

Denis: just a note, I am one of those old farts at VA, and for the Iraq thing I don’t have to go in, because my son is one of those disabled vets who did time in Iraq, yes, trying to find those non-existent WMDs, among other things.

What we did with “shock and awe”, and our destruction of Iraq, and hundreds of thousands of civilians under the Bush administration running of the war, DID lay the groundwork for Al Qaeda, ISIL, and all the other groups who have valid reason to hate American governments and pollicies, if not necessarily our people.

READ what Iraqis were living with from 2003, especially under Bush league rulers, and even til today, not the phony PR we put out, but the REAL stories of loss.

“Free fire zones” in Viet Nam were a large part of why we lost that war, because we cared not for the people, only politics. The same was true in Iraq, and It is a mistake to not keep a VERY CONFINED TARGET in mind in dealing with ISIL, and also CRITICAL, that Iraq have a government that will recognize both Shia and Sunni, then that government might, just might, get support of it’s own people.

Cut the crap, Harley. There was absolutely no evidence to support the Bush Administration’s claim that Saddam had anything what so ever to do with 9/11. There was no evidence he supported terrorism. As for ObamaA) He has nothing to do with my post. You’re deflecting.B) The PPACA (AKA Obamacare, Romneycare, or Gingrichcare) didn’t force anyone to change doctors. It didn’t force anyone to change their existing insurance policies. Insurance companies canceled polices that were grandfathered in by the law. Insurance companies decided which doctors, clinics, and hospitals are part of their “coverage network.”

Thank you for the link, Ms. Martens. Media matters was my source for discovering Mr. Obama gets briefings on paper when unable to attend, and let’s be frank… sometimes he is simply unable to attend, like when he’s out of the country. I do harbor a sadness that he doesn’t ‘appear’ to be as active and involved as I want him to be. I’d like to see him bring forth his inner “LBJ” and get into some people’s faces. I like he speaks softly, but I wish we saw more of him carrying, and even using, a big stick.I appreciate you, Ms. Martens. Thank you for the intelligence you bring to these conversations.Sincerely,C.

“The only “debacle” is that the surge worked and the donkey kept crying. Then Obama declared the war won and bugged out. GW Bush, Palin, McCain, Mitt were all right about Obama and how the world would react under Obama’s lack of a back bone and a plan.”-Leon Panetta’s new book further corroborates this:-http://hotair.com/archives/2014/10/02/panetta-memoir-blames-obama-for-collapse-in-iraq/
