I read in the NY Times this morning that the British PM and Parliament is already back-pedalling on the last-minute promises they made to the people of Scotland.

Separatists are the same everywhere, Scotland, Canada, Spain, etc. They want to use the democratic system to separate, but when the democratic system makes them fail on the separatist efforts, they want to ignore the wishes of the majority and they start working on the next referendom, hoping that the next time it will happen. The thing is, that the majority of people can see and know that separation will not work as they hope. Take the case of Canada and Quebec. Quebec has the lowest birth rate in t he world, that means there will not be young people paying taxes to sustain that society. The people paying taxes now will be dying along with the resources they could produce. Now and in the future Quebec has to depend on the equalization payments coming from Alberta. If Quebec separates, the money from Alberta will stop. How are they going to survive? isn’t the same for all these other separatists? Craziness!!
