American-style health care teams dispatched to combat Ebola. Three health care representatives board a plane. One is "Claims Denier," one is "Deductible Enforcement," and one is "Out-of-Network Compliance Officer."
Note that thanks to programs like the Affordable Care Act these characters are increasingly working on behalf of the Federal Government. And when they do it becomes much more difficult to hold them accountable for their abuses.
Hmm, reality is Big Pharma, Commercial Medical “Care” operators of hospitals et al, and Insurance companies, the big three of profit takers upset that Americans might actually get truly affordable care, and reduce their profits. Those three actors have spent billions to influence the public, and legislators, that their well greased “shaft” won’t hurt.
They are an infection in themselves, born of a system TO BE SERVED rather than TO SERVE. And I know some don’t like to hear it, but in my opinion: free universal basic health care is a human right. A healthy country is a strong and happy country. And in the long run it is cheaper. .As populations increasingly crowd into cities, some nasty microbe will eventually brew there and burn through large swaths of humanity before it is diagnosed and stopped. It’s only a matter of time.
