If the muslims really wanted peace they wouldn’t elect Hamas to be their leaders.

If the ARAB Palestinians, many of whom happen to be CHRISTIANS, like in Lebanon- had ever been granted an “advantageous” and SINCERE offer, things could have been settled. Balfour and Peel Commission called for shared administration in Jerusalem- a key factor in any resolve that will “defuse” the basic argument.(between Jews and Muslims) When Israel moved the capitol to Jerusalem, and told the world they wouldn’t budge, it threw out all offers other than “my way or the highway”.

That highway leads to continuous contention and “conservatives” in the Israeli government know it.

From tearing down Palestinian residences and buildings to make more room at the “wailing wall”- to occupation and expansion of building on “captured” lands- there has been no real “offer” on the table.

I don’t really care for either side in this permanent argument, but it is time for this dinky area of the world to be mandating world, or at least, western, policy.

If Northern Ireland can come to an “uncomfortable but reasonable” resolve, why not here?

    trout,

Actually Christian in Palestine are now a very small minority. Most have left. Who can blame them being caught between a rock and a hard place.

You say you don’t really care for either side of this argument, yet you always take the Palestinian side in your comments.

It’s OK. We understand. Being a good liberal usually means taking the terrorist side
