How about next time we arm some rebels, we put microchips on the weapons so that we can detonate remotely after they start pointing them at innocent bystanders or us? They’d be set to go off if anyone tries to remove them.
…or perhaps to fuse the works of the weapon. That might be better, given that being shot at could trigger the ka-boom otherwise.
