My GF’s theory is that a gate can’t keep you safe from everything. Better than any explanation I have.
With the community gated they are now easier to catch.
Perhaps a reference to the “dinosaurs” who live in them.

I’m with pschearer’s girlfriend…1. People in gated communities only THINK they’re keeping the predators out; 2. the ones they’re NOT keeping out are worse than the ones they are; and 3. ever heard of cyber-attacks (attacks from the "air)?
I wonder if that’s an aerial photo of L.A.
