I wonder if hunters would attract more deer with a water bowl on a pedestal then carrot bait or a salt lick.

I’ve seen a lot of strange things when visiting the suburbs, but I’ve never seen deer drinking at a bird bath!

There’s a good chance you will if you live long enough. I’ve seen them eating from bird feeders.

@debaucheeSome hunters would bait deer during the off season to train them to show up in a certain spot and then either remove the bait or just stop during the hunting season.

Some suburbs have resident deer herds to the point of being a problem. I’m surprised city/county governments haven’t set up hunting programs to cull the herds. Armed with tranquilizer guns, hunters could harvest the deer and provide lean meats to homeless shelters. There are a lot of possible jobs to be created in this sort of program.

This is so sweet, and since I assume this is Rose’s property, that little deer is safe.

“Hunting is not a sport, in a sport both sides should know they’re in the game.”-Paul Rodriguez.“When a man wantonly destroys one of the works of man we call him a vandal. When he destroys one of the works of God we call him a sportsman.”-Horace MannWhen I lived in Virginia I would let my dog out at night and when the light came on you could seen deer eyes shining back at you where they were lying in leaves and pine needles under the trees. They would remain motionless and the dog would never even see them.
