According to a couple of Scots in my office, calling them “Scotch” is offensive. Calling their whisky Scotch is fine.PS. A note for other posters: whisky, not whiskey as in Ireland & the USA.One other thing, scotch eggs are not Scottish. I only recently found that out, too.
Perhaps the U.S. could come to regret our break with dear Albion. I’ve often begged Brit friends to take us back for all those religious nuts and criminals they freed themselves of and sent ere here so long ago have come to haunt this country. Didn’t they breed so like rabbits, the nuts and criminals, not to insult our wee bunnies.

…. and – Michael, please note – Hadrian’s Wall is NOT the boundary between Scotland and England. I live North of it and I’m in England.
