A giant man labeled "Airline Profits" puts his seat back into the person behind him. A reference to a few incidents of violence on airplanes over space-related issues.
A lot of those increased profits have come from luggage fees and other “add ons”. Cramping quarters in the “back of the bus” is also a way to sell more tickets up front. You CAN pay extra for extra room. There’s also a trade point on fuel costs where packing more weight on at takeoff, whacks against consumption because of that added weight. Cruise altitude consumption isn’t where most of the fuel per hour is burned.

Delta is making money, United is marginal while American is still bleeding.

Another industry where we need to get rid of all those regulations. Especially the ones where you can’t bring your guns onto the planes.
You’d be lots more polite about reclining your seat if you thought you might be shot in the back.
I mean, nobody throws their popcorn any more, now do they?
