I remember it like this: January and December have 31 days, and every other month has 30, except February and August because Augustus was vain and needed his month to match Julius’s, so what would have been its 30 days gets bumped forward to September.

My husband can never remember that rhyme. He uses his knuckles. No idea how that could work since July and August has 31 days.
