Computers are obsolete before they’re shown in the store as floor models. There is always a faster chip, a newer version of the programs, a better configuration…I’ve designed my own computer, and “the lastest and greatest” changes almost DAILY, and as soon as it’s set up, something newer, faster, and “better” is out .
It’s getting to be the same way with cell phones, Joe. You know how many times people are almost in a car accident ‘cause some idiot is yapping on a cell phone instead of paying attention to their driving?
Cell phone use in cars should only be when you’ve pulled over, and for the purpose of calling for help. Unless you need assistance, or directions, there’s no real reason you can’t “wait till you get there” to talk!
Most people can, and should, act responsibly when using their cell phones. And no, you’ll never have the newest and best ‘cause the next model is coming out just as you’re opening the box of your brand-new cell phone.
I don’t have a cell either- - -when I’m out of the house, I’m out of touch. Everyone’s heard of “getting away from it all”- - - with a cell phone, you can’t! I really do think that they’re a great innovation for emergencies, I just don’t want to be available 24/7.
