I read Sarah Palin’s Russia comment the other day, and, to me, it was clear she was trying to make a joke (albeit a lame one, but a joke nonetheless).
I’ll agree that Delay got what was coming to him, and that Rove was pushing the line. I’ll agree that Palin doesn’t have what it takes to be President. McCain, though, is as close to a Democrat as a Republican can get (he considered becoming Kerry’s running mate in 2004).
I do have to agree with Gore about Obama’s verbal attack on the SCOTUS, though. People got up in arms about Joe Wilson’s famous “You lie!” comment (again, not saying Wilson was right), condemning the fact that he heckled the POTUS, and do nothing when the POTUS heckles the Supreme Court – to their faces. At least Wilson’s comment wasn’t planned in advance.
