Betty should get started writing a new book called How to Survive Toxic Friends and Family. It would hit the best seller list..FYI, the family part was a personal reference. While I’m not a self help junkie, I’d be tempted by that one.
Thanks to Alex having married rich, she has idle time and Alex does not seem to like being idle. whether the publishing is vanity or not, Alex wrote her book, presented to publishing company and got help for edit and presentation. Betty talked herself out of writing. She listened to her doubts. Alex has no doubts. If it doesn’t work out – then it doesn’t and let’s go try something else. That’s Alex. Betty needs to get out of her funk and out of her rut.
BTW – I’m not rooting for Alex. Just realizing the differences between the two women. One doesn’t think, is self confident and bulldozes through. The other over thinks and has self doubt.
