That woman sitting with Alex looks a lot like that … person (CEO) who hired Alex to do the firings. (Its a word, it just looks strange – at least to me).
I recently ended a 36yr friendship similar to this one. We grew up together and had gone through much of life together. I spent 3 years holding her hand till she decided to get divorced. She was like a sister to me. Unfortunately she turned put to be much the same as the shefish sister that I don’t particularly like. The only difference is we weren’t related by blood. Time to cut that cord Betty.

I don’t get Betty’s relationship with Alex – is it obsession or is it possession? Whatever it is, it is unhealthy and needs a family intervention.
