Outside the US its usually not necessary as profits made in the country are taxed in the country rather than being taxed in both. I’m hoping BK can learn the concept of quality from Tim Horton’s.

Burger King is only trying to save hard earned money. Wish our Govt. would get a clue.

but, but Warren Buffet (tax cheat/fraud) is behind the deal so it must be a great thing. He and our President conspire on all these things like keeping the pipeline from being built so Warren’s choo choos can keep running.

America wouldn’t need to do these dodgy tax saving practices if they didn’t feel the need to maintain 900 military bases abroad and fight stupid foreign wars for reasons that they are largely responsible for. But, once the decision is made to extend the empire militarily, taxes have to be raised to pay the bills, or do as Bush did – pretend there is no cost.

Agreed, Sharkie. I have a list of products and subsidiaries of the people I wish to boycott. The internet is useful in locating such info.Sadly, where medical equipment is concerned, it depends on the hospital your doctor uses, or the ER circumstances force you to visit. One can’t do price comparisons or “preference shopping” when a bone is sticking out of the flesh.Good to be able to agree with you, Sharkie, including Chic Fil A… those spicy chicken sandwiches are way too good. Btw, if you go to the Flagship Chick Fil A, aka the Dwarf House, outside of Atlanta, Ga., you can get table service and order steaks, hamburgers and much more.Don’t tell the Holsteins.Respectfully,C.

Silly military is the one and only proper use for tax money.

Anderson omits the 3rd Culprit: The US Congress and President that put tax and regulation BURDENS on corporations that drive them out of the country. What label do they deserve?-Every nation must fund defense wars when the world is teeming with warmakers. So “Traitor” deserves his label.Every business with shareholders or mom and pop owners must earn a bottom line in the black, not the red, so ethically and politically they do not deserve condemnation.-Put the blame where it belongs—-on politicians who are not honest or fair or ethical, driving good citizens away. States like California, New York and Illinois also overtaxed and drove business away. Solution: Lower taxes and lower regulations and the cost of obeying every government demand. Restore Freedom!

I’m sure Burger King has lawyers that have researched this well enough to be sure it will be a tax advantage for them. For me, however, it’s going to cost more, since the locally owned burger place is a couple blocks further down the road, I’m going to be using more gas.

DLee:Hopefully that other burger place down the road has better burgers.BK hasn’t been good for over a decade. Try a Mom n Pop place or In-N-Out Burgers, if you have them.

Along with BK now owned by a Brazilian corp., it’s also notable that Berkshire Hathaway (Buffet) is also a corporation, due of course all the “personhood” benefits the SCOTUS awards human individuals. Oh, wait a minute, actual humans can’t access most of those benefits…

Which while “foreign” corporations skip out on those taxes on earning, individual stockholders still pay taxes on those gains, though granted, capital gains doesn’t approach income tax rates.

It IS important to note that even “Libs” like myself actually don’t have anything against honest corporations making honest profits, it’s the orchestrated “criminality” that’s been made “legal” by the Congress since at least the advent of “Reaganomics”, that is disgusting. This is especially true of the constantly whining banking and “investment corporation” realms. I wouldn’t call it prostitution, it’s more like rape for profit, and investors (and individual taxpayers) can get a backache from being bent over.

(#1 issue, there could be no “corporations” without PEOPLE.Name one corporation in business run by 100% ROBOTS!" --How could any American stop the Global Business 2014 structure? I don’t object to every nation doing well in business and therefore jobs and therefore taxes if reasonable!-Burger King now is reported to be paying US corporate taxes at 27%. They also pay local taxes that support schools and fire and police districts. Good for them. But If state and federal government is ripping off the successful businesses they are “killing the golden goose that lays the golden eggs”!-Why not call for an investigation into members of Congress avoiding personal income taxes??? Too many elected office holders go from “rags to riches” at the expense of the taxpayers! Start the probe with Senator Reid and Representative Pelosi, and restart the demand for the prosecution of lawbreakers in the IRS, #1 Lois Lerner.

That is a quickly lost game. Not much value comes from where a company is “located”, a hand full of accounting jobs possibly but for the most part it is a completely fabricated concept. Apple doesn’t produce much in Ireland

Disgusted: a suggestion? Check out Boehner who spends some $20,000 more per year than the median family of four takes in gross income, ON GREEN FEES! Yeah, but Obama plays too much golf, about 1/5 as often as Boehner, or less.
