Thanks, Henry. We all know that more hatred of Obama will solve every problem in the world — especially the problem of coming up with an original thought for an editorial cartoon.
Again, I personally do not have a problem with the President playing golf, so long as he is able to keep up on events and respond to them. I have every reason to believe that President George W. Bush was careful to stay partially “on the job” during his vacation time based on the speed with which he responded to world events and the attention he gave to them. It is also significant that George W. Bush made a conscious decision to stop playing golf partway into his term of office in order to avoid giving the false impression of disengagement.-The President’s golfing is not a big thing compared to the massive failures of his administration, but in the context of his apparent disengagement from the responsibilities of the presidency and his lack of concern for the timing, his frequent golf outings reflect badly on him.
To all of my liberal friends and barackster apologists: it is not the constant golfing that is the problem. The problem is that he never knows anything until he reads it in the newspaper. Beyond that, he is incompetent and has no idea about what is going on in the world. It is time for grown ups to take over.
