Hi Jeff, thanks for your comment. I’m sorry if you feel offended by this strip. It certainly wasn’t intended to relate to current events in the world. It was created and programmed many weeks ago. It’s really about the fate of chickens and the use of ritual practises that believe they are related to the true nature of sacrifice. I think it’s clear that Lard’s message is not to use such practises to represent the nature of personal sacrifice for the good of others on the planet. I hope that clears things up a bit. Being prepared to make sacrifices is not necessarily the same thing as making sacrifices.
Having a good defence, in readiness to ward off an attack, need not be the same thing as having a strong offence and making the first move.
