    Herefords are black and white, not dark beige with a lighter tummy (that’s more like a Jersey).

    Holsteins are black and white. They are milk cows. Herefords like Stan are reddish brown and white or cream colored and they are raised for beef.

    Herefords are more commonly brown but there are also black Herefords, both are raised for beer primarily.
