Who wakes up at 6:30am to get ready for school? Latter-day Saint missionaries everywhere (in the Missionary Training Center and the mission fields) wake up at 6:30am to get ready for the day of preaching and serving.
Here in Singapore, I used to wake up at 5.30 to get to school. And we had to mug till midnight through the year to catch up on school as we had to attend extra-curricular activities after school. xD Welcome back to school Alix and Holly! :D
In Maine, my friend got up at 4:30. Got 4 kids up, made lunches and got them and her and Hubby out the door in time for Grammar School at 7:30 and Her teaching job at the University (12 miles away) by 8am. In the snow!Quitcher complainin’ lol
I get up at 3:00 a.m. Tuesday thru Friday and 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, feed and water the dogs(8), shower, shave, and got to work at 4:00 a.m. Since I drive a delivery truck my end of the day is when I get done and drive back, unload, do returns, money count, and paperwork. Then go home feed and water dogs and then fix something for us to eat.
before I retired I got up at 4:30am to be at work by 6:30 5 days a week and up at 6 to be at work by 7 on Saturday………I retired 4 years ago and seldom sleep past 5:30am…….sigh
I loathed my last three years – back in public school after six years in boarding school. My mother told me to quit complaining. “Someday you’ll look back on this as the happiest time of your life.” I was suicidal for months.
When I was a kid I was very dreamy and slow getting around. School locally not as early until HS caught the bus at 7am. After marriage got the kids up at 7am since small town school started at grade school and Middle/HS at 8am. Not very far to go.
@bawanaSo only nine more years before you can loaf around, share horror stories about the good old days, and shuffle off this mortal coil nine years later. Wow, someone shoot me now.
I always feel sorry for the teachers! I have a touch of Aspergery shyness and don’t like having to control classes. My college freshmen weren’t too wild, but still could be bored easily. Only taught full time for three years. Whew!

Alix and Holly! At least be somewhat excited that this is the First Day of School! It does go rapidly downhill after that, however! =-O

The alarm clock at 6am rattled me so much that I was shaking too much to write for the first classes of the day.
