Too many strikes against it, Mona.

Wow Mona’s got high expectations. That’s really no surprise. Also looks like M. Smokey is ready to give Ryan the old heave-ho back to Hawaii.

Donna’s assessment is to the point. Hawaiian Ryan was fun while he lasted, but he’s not Mona’s type! (Who is?)

I’m guessing a pasty, acerbic, sociopath

What she needs is someone who loves her the way she is and is positive and sociable the way Ryan is, but not so attached to one thing (Hawaii). Unquestioning love and kindness brings out the best in her.

The reason Mona was infatuated with Ryan in Hawaii was because he was so different from the guys she knew in L.A. and I’m pretty sure she said that in one of those strips. Unfortunately, the truth of that simply won’t work for her in normal life. Jay, I don’t think Lucas is the sociopath, but Mona’s made great progress ;) PS: I love the “five whole children” comment!

We’re ready for the heave-hoeing. Anything to avoid a whole child. They drool on their stuffed animals.

Ryan wants 5.00 children, but the national average is only about 2.15.

Well…not necessarily a different person…he can break out of the home bodied, everything’s like Hawaii thing if he really wants too. Lots of people are like that who never moved away…Plus, he took a huge step in coming to L.A….

Now the 5 whole children thing….well

Well, I don’t want five children either, but if I got ‘em I’d definitely prefer they were whole.

We’ll have a kid Or maybe we’ll rent one He’s got to be straight We don’t want a bent one

    – Randy Newman, “Love Story” (and I’m reasonably certain the “straight/bent” opposition is NOT a reference to sexual orientation)

About time she saw the writing on the wall. Or is the empty nest syndrome creeping up?? As Sir Paul said.. “Go Home!”
