The Republicans have become Democrats; sad.

Boehner seemed so emotional and grateful when he was selected as Speaker. I wonder if he ever wakes up in the early hours and is unable to sleep, thinking how he will go down in History? Rightly or not, his name will always be linked with a do-nothing Congress among the worst in modern times. In my opinion, he has a great deal to do with that. I suppose he sees his heavy sarcasm as being tough, but I see it as unstatesman-like and non-productive..At my job, there are performance reviews that if sufficiently bad would get us fired. The non-performers in Congress should be so lucky – when they leave office is when they start making Real Money as consultants, lobbyists, and as advisors on various boards of directors. No doubt Boehner will cry in gratitude then, too.

The Republican platform: straining at gnats. “Don’t distract us with the important issues, we’re after the gnats!”

Hey Republican leadership, I hope you don’t think that platform is going to win any presidential elections. Surely you’re not that stupid. Or are you? I guess we’ll find out in 2016.

I love the “Restless Repeal Syndrome.” And I might have some sympathy for the lawsuit if Obama were actually ignoring any laws. Adjusting the enforcement of laws to suit real-world conditions is something presidents have ALWAYS done, and is more necessary when the legislature refuses to legislate. Republicans are unable to govern in any fashion, and you can’t have a functioning country when anti-American nihilists, whose only agenda seems to undermine our government, have complete veto control over the legislative process. Boehner needs to step down and let someone who actually cares about America take over.

“. Obama’s not a good president, but compared to the very best the Republicans have offered, he’s pure shining gold.”I wouldn’t go that far. The lesser of two evils is still evil.
