Cajun dialect seems a little forced, but it does lend “local color” to this set-up. I, too, hope St. Jacque doesn’t end up as gator food on the eve of his retirement, Wieswald. But I think he’ll make it…. Salty tail, Big John?

At least the dialect isn’t done with funetik speling.

I think Tarzan may have to do this alone. Every time they get ready to go out to catch LaSalle, St. Jacque will want to fix up some more gumbo.

Why doesn’t the game warden, being an outdoor man in the south, have a tan like Tarzan?

I think the writers picked up their Cajun from listening to Justin Wilson’s cooking show. Secret: Justin Wilson wasn’t a full Cajun (his father was Welsh).
